Conditions
The creation or modification of Social Projects falls under the authority of the
“Social Project Committee.”
This “Social Project Committee” is composed of members of the USB Board of
Directors and the Presidents or delegates of the SB Associations.
Its role is to review and ratify the creation or modification of Social
Projects.
Assistance Procedure
The USB reviews potential assistance for a person in need upon the request
of an SB Association (Secours Bouddhique).
For assistance requiring significant commitments, the USB Board of
Directors may establish—via appointment or volunteer basis—a review
committee consisting of at least four members of the USB Board and at
least two members of the Executive Committee of the requesting SB
Association.
This committee may, in an advisory capacity, call upon partner members
and/or benefactors.
The committee’s role is to carefully examine the situation of the person
seeking assistance, the merits and eligibility of the request, and the
practical and financial feasibility, among other factors.
If the committee deems it necessary, it may consult social services.
