Motivation

Our activity is intended to be humble and respectful towards all the charitable organisations that have already been working—for a very long time—for the wellbeing of all beings. This heritage, both humanist and spiritual, and the values that these organizations carry out in their work with generosity and effectiveness, are a true source of inspiration for the Union des Secours Bouddhiques.

As this inspiration called for meaningful action, the Union des Secours Bouddhiques was established in November 2024 as a 1901 non-profit association, whose purpose is to contribute to social solidarity alongside the principal social actors. In this spirit, the USB invites Buddhist practitioners and sympathisers to unite in order to broaden their action and allow Buddhism to find a visible place within the social landscape in France.
